VETERANS & FAMILY SUPPORT
Our adopted service member Anthony (Tony) Roberts had a two week leave and was able to fly home to see his family in August and is now back on duty. He had a wonderful time and expressed his appreciation to the Ladies Auxiliary for all that he receives and our support. We will be sending him another box in a couple of weeks.
We also. Have adopted another deployed service member, Tim Gayson and he has been deployed for several months now. We have his wish list and will be sending him care packages. Tim is a member of the men’s Auxiliary and his mother Melissa is a member of the Auxiliary.
If anyone would like to include a small item or especially a letter or note, please leave them at the VFW to my attention and I will make sure that they are included. These letters mean so much to our service members.
NATIONAL HOME
Everyone is doing such a great job of saving the Campbell’s product labels and also the Box Tops for Education. The Auxiliary sent in 140 labels to National Home and sent 217 Box Tops for Education to The pines Christian School. Please keep up the good work and keep them coming.
