Ladies Auxiliary President Elect

Joan Williams
Our Mass Installation is over. On June 21st, after our new Department President, Judy Jones, is installed all the newly elected officers officially take office, My best memory will be looking around and seeing all the 1622 members and friends there to show support for the upcoming year for our Ladies Aux., Men's Aux. and the Post.
Starting with the July 11th breakfast, I will be the chairman. My sincere thanks to all the breakfast crew that has signed on for another year. Mike Callis, Sharon Peppy, Clarissa Bruno, Linda Bracy, Peggy Holliday and our wonderful hard working JR ROTC cadets. This is a great crew that works real hard to make sure our customers have a pleasant experience while having their breakfast at Lomita Hall. So mark your calendars for the 2 Sunday of every month. Come down and support our Ladies Auxiliary authorized veterans programs. Get your calendar out now. The next 3 breakfasts are on July 11th, Aug 8th and Aug 29th (the extra breakfast is because there are 5 weeks in Aug)
July 24th is our Officer Reception hosted by Peggy Holliday and out-going Commander Doug Reasoner. This yearly event is important to attend because it not only honors all incoming officers for the upcoming year but also honors ALL members of Lomita Hall for their hard work & dedication to promote our programs to help veterans, their families and the people of the community. I'll be looking forward to seeing lots of you there. See the flyer for details.
WANT TO HAVE FUN!! Let's all meet in the back hall on Aug 28th at around 1PM. Lunch will be served at 2PM and then you will be transported from Lomita to the South Pacific islands, including Hawaii, Tahiti & New Zealand, by Rose and her Pacific Island dancers. Get out your "Island Duds", gather your family & friends and come down for the afternoon to have fun while supporting our programs. You will be glad you did. See the flyer for details.
Ladies, this is the beginning of a new year. With a new year comes a fresh start and new commitment to do the best we can for our veterans. Coming to our meetings once a month to find out what's going on and working our programs and fundraisers as a team is a good way to start because we all know that "working together=success". Remember, alone a person can do little, together we can do anything.
Loyally,
Joan Williams
