HOSPITAL REPORT


Donations received for Long Beach Veterans Hospital for the period of December 15, 2009 through February 16, 2010 are as follows:
Bingo players donated beautifully hand knitted scarves. Alice Welch and Barbara Coonce both gave monetary donations. Bob Polk donated his time in getting my computer back to normal in exchange for helping LBVA. Candy & Dave Sundberg donated a huge box of tapes. Carmen Elizondo donated Valentine candy. Carol Shea donated a huge box of greeting cards, tablets, stationery and miscellaneous goodies. Collette Reames donated sugar free candy, comfort items and coupons. Dee Serio donated calendars, Christmas wrapping paper and pens. Delbert Giacomi and Gary have carried heavy boxes from the hospital closet to my car and from my car to the hospital closet. (Many thanks for your muscle!!) Elythe Warren donated toothpaste. Gloria & Rick Garcia donated caps. Ida Hochderffer donated comfort items, paperbacks, magazines, highlighters and knitted scarves. Doris from Bingo has donated more scarves in many different colors. Tom O’Brien donated paperbacks. Joyce (Tom’s wife) donated hand knitted scarves with hats to match. Judy & Phil donated a series of hardcover books and also paperbacks. Margaret Newland (Bingo) donated hardcover books and paperbacks. Lastly but most precious were the miniature Christmas trees donated by Pat Lago which were so very welcome to our hospitalized veterans as well as those veterans at Cabrillo.
