Hello Comrades, Sisters & Brothers,
Welcome to the March-April Hotline.
Some events for the past few months were the State Official visit January 8-10 and our Post hosted a dinner for the State Commander Jack Turner and President Sue Wells on January 8th. On the 16th of January we had a great program, dinner, and dance to celebrate our anniversaries. We acknowledged the 81st anniversary for the Post, the 80th for the Ladies Auxiliary, and the 7th for the Men's Auxiliary. We had a great turnout of members, dignitaries, and awardees and their families. Everyone had a fun time and lots of food on February 7th for Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks to everyone who helped on all these events. On February 12th we attended the "Welcome Home Airmen Ceremony" at the Los Angeles Air Force Base.
Upcoming events/meetings are displayed on the March-April calendars in this Hotline. The St. Patrick's Dinner and Auction will be March 13th, 2010. Hope to see you there.
We are approaching the time for electing new officers for the 2010-2011 year. Nominations will be March 18th and April 1st and elections will be April 1st.
Comrade Bill Labate passed away on Feb. 9th. I want to express appreciation for the years of service he gave to Post 1622.
